To honor the iconic disco diva’s eternal legacy found on the dance floor, Verve Records is releasing a comprehensive remix collection called Love To Love We Donna upcoming week (October 22), featuring brand fresh remixes of a few of Queen Donna’s many iconic hits by contemporary electronic maestros like Afrojack, Holy Ghost, Hot Chip — even the “I Feel Love” titan himself, Giorgio Moroder.

Today, I’m happy to premiere a remix of “MacArthur Park” — 1 of my all-time favorite Donna Summer songs — by Laidback Luke.

The slamming EDM reinterpretation of the track adds a thick Home heartbeat to the track, full of pounding, four-to-the-floor synthesizers plus big beat breakdowns. Nothing can ever touch Donna’s immaculate authentic naturally, yet this might be a strong technique of introducing new ears to the disco diva’s iconic vocals inside 2013.
