The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is a teenager-targeted blockbuster movie about control and calculation and heartlessness and struggle, so maybe it’s appropriate that the Weeknd shows up on a couple of tracks on the movie’s soundtrack. Other than Coldplay’s “Atlas,” the first song we’ve heard from that soundtrack is “Elastic Heart,” from the Australian adult-contempo pop star Sia. The track also features production from Diplo (in muted and emotive “Climax” form) and the Weeknd (sounding way more vulnerable than usual). It’s a grand and pretty song, and it won’t give you the creeps the way the Weeknd songs ordinarily might.
