“This Song Is Not About A Girl” is the third and final song to leak from Flume and Chet Faker‘s three song EP, Lockjaw. It is also the furthest straying track sonically, as the two employ a more melancholy tone from what we have heard in the past. But not without their signature groove, which keeps the beat moving nicely throughout this catchy tune. While Lockjaw is a rather brief project, we hope it is an indication that these two have plans of working together more in the future.

Chet Faker (born Nicholas James Murphy) is an Australian electronica musician. In 2012 he signed to Downtown Records in the United States and issued an extended play, Thinking in Textures. In October that year he won ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year’ and Thinking in Textures won ‘Best Independent Single/EP’ at the Australian Independent Records Awards. In January 2013 the work won ‘Best Independent Release’ at the Rolling Stone Australia Awards for 2012. His cover of Blackstreet’s “No Diggity” was featured in a 2013 Super Bowl commercial for Beck’s Sapphire.

Once again, Mighty Mouse delivers just the kind of groove-filled disco we’d expect from him.

Although Mighty Mouse and Monarchy have been friends for some time, the idea of working on a song together only came about after Mighty Mouse remixed Monarchy’s ‘Disintegration’ single featuring Dita Von Teese back in December 2012.

Mighty Mouse enlisted his partner inside Nightfilmand Du Tonc (Matt Van Schie) to play bass plus guitar plus the outcome is a contemporary nu-disco exercise, with Monarchy’s signature pop driven vocals. “Of the Night” is a song by British alternative rock band Bastille. On 11 October 2013, it was released digitally as the lead single from All This Bad Blood, an upcoming re-reissue of Bastille’s debut album Bad Blood, which is scheduled to be released on 25 November 2013.

The dreamy electropop ballad is because eargasmic because all which has come before within the Studio Killers. That they do their ballads simply because amazing because they do their bangers, isn’t thus much a revelation, however, more a verification which they certainly are among the right points regarding pop music inside recent years. We love them soooo much! And ‘Who Is In The Heart Now’ merely thus arises to become the ideal soundtrack to a confused, unexpected love.
