New Album: One Direction - Midnight Memories

“Midnight Memories” is the upcoming third studio album by British boy band One Direction. The album is planned to be released on November 25, 2013 via Syco and Columbia Records. It comes preceded by the lead single “Best Song Ever“, released on digital retailers on July 22. The second single is confirmed the track “Story of My Life“, that’s scheduled for release on October 28th.

The pre-order of the album was introduced on iTunes on September 9. The men revealed the official artwork plus tracklist on their Twitter page on October 11. The men have confirmed the launch of 3 promotional singles before the album’s launch. The tracks come on 18, 20 plus November 22 respectively. Have not yet been confirmed that is the songs.

One Direction started function on their 3rd studio album whilst embarking on their 2nd tour, the Take Me Home Tour. The album was announced simultaneously with all the news of the band’s 3rd globe tour, the Where We Are Tour. Louis Tomlinsonannounced which the album would have a more “rockier” sound with it. The track listing for the album was leaked on 2 July 2013, however, later it was revealed which it will not become the final choice. Ed Sheeran, that earlier wrote “Little Things” plus “Moments”, are not singing a collaboration with all the group, because earlier reports suggested.

The official title of the album was revealed on 6 September, following Zayn Malik tweeted a brief movie with Harry Styles composing out the term “Mid” from a pile of alphabet letters found on the floor. Later at 4pm, the full movie was posted on instagram with Styles spelling the entire name of the album, Midnight Memories. On 17 September, Niall Horan tweeted which he will be playing guitar on a few of the album’s tracks.

The artwork was introduced early only by The Sun through a tweet from their Twitter account plus was confirmed the following morning by the One Direction Twitter account inside another tweet. The early access was just accessible to people individuals that had a membership with all the online variation of the newspaper. On 11 October, One Direction revealed the track listing for the album through a “#MidnightMemoriesTrackQuiz” on Twitter. It revealed the names of the tracks with a mixture of hints plus filling in the gap fashion issues. The deluxe edition tracklist was revealed from the launch of the deluxe edition on iTunes.
